Hey, my name is Lorna and I’ve been working at Hair Design for two years now. I started as an Advanced Stylist and I am now Assistant Manager/Creative Director.I love working for a salon that is so supportive of stylists training and development. Education is key to me feeling motivated within the work place.
Personally, I have never been more happy in a job, I think this is down to the work life balance and training opertunitues avaliable at Hair Design. I am currently working towards my Wella Colour Expert qualification and we have regular in house training with a wella educator.
I’ve never worked somewhere that has made me feel as valued and appreciated as I feel at Hair Design. I feel extremely proud coming to work every day, within my local community, in a high-end luxury salon that has a great reputation. I feel valued in my role as assistant manager, and I know I am working for an employer who cares about me as a person, as well as developing my hairdressing/ management skills.
MEGAN (Senior Stylist)
Megan came to us with 8 years post qualification experience. In her last salon (Regis Glasgow) she progressed to senior stylist and became well known for her skills in colouring, particularly vivid, high fashion and pastel colours. She is exceptionally skilled at freehand and balayage, a true hair artist.
SUZI (Senior Stylist)
Suzi comes to us with 20 years experience. The last 10 years before joining us was working as a creative stylist within Rainbow Room International. As you would expect Suzi performs all services to a very high standard
ISLA (Stylist)
Hi, my name is Isla , and I started working with Hair Design Airdrie in October 2021, dressed as Wonder Woman, as it was Halloween. My journey at Hair Design began as Receptionist. I absolutely loved the atmosphere, friendship, good fun and hard-working principles of the business. I realised though, in a very short space of time, that my call was towards the floor with the clients and not behind the reception desk.
With my Manager’s support I decided to enrol myself in Level 2 Training at private academy in Glasgow. My skills and knowledge have increased with all the one to one training given by Creative Director Lorna, and all the help from our highly skilled staff.
I absolutely love coming to work, with having such a good team!
I appreciate and love all the training we receive as everyday is a school day in this business. I am a creative person, therefore I especially love experimenting with different techniques and colours . Hope to meet you soon x
